SERPent

SERPent provides a SERP / scrapping API for use by AI agents / projects.

Running tests

pip install -r requirements.txt -r requirements-dev.txt
playwright install chromium   # if not already present on the machine
ruff check .
pytest

The suite mocks all outbound HTTP (via respx) and drives the Playwright-based scrapers against local fixture HTML loaded straight into a real headless Chromium - see the page_factory fixture in tests/conftest.py - so it runs fully offline and doesn't depend on, or risk tripping, any site's anti-bot measures.
